“Adding visuals to a live performance is always a challenge, and Future’s show during Encore was no exception. In terms of beat matching, hip hop is a lot more difficult to VJ to than other genres I work in, and a live show makes things extra unpredictable. Hip hop artists also often cut off songs and take their performance in unexpected directions, so things get really intense. Looking back, I honestly feel that the set was spot on, right to the smallest details. I’m really happy about it. I love it when everyone involved—DJs, lighting, sound, the audience—works together to reach that certain climax. Trust me: we reached it that night, ha ha.”
