Overview
What's in the name? 'Eigengeis' is a Dutch mixup between this unique VJ's name Geis (or Gijs, we never quie figured...), and the Dutch word 'Eigenwijs'. Which is... as hard to translate as it is to summirize the man in one word. Stubborn? Yes, but he's also kind and flexible as an artist. Cocky? He's tall and hip, and invest crazy stuff, but also a modest guy. Okay, we give up, let's put Eigengeis in the dictionary as a new word in it's own right... Definition: colourful, unexpected, innovative. He e.g. invented a way to transmit soundwaves into magnetic ink that, magnified 1000x, looks truly spectacular.
He's also a Drum & Base lover that can mix his digital experiments stubbornly until the sun comes up. Especially at his own party Tribe, in his beloved hometown of Breda, in the region where every cool club knows his name.
